Me, Lee, & She-E
Taken at the end of Lee’s Summer Seminar in 2003. Lee’s summer seminar remains ones of my most memorable summers thus far. It not only changed the way I play and teach marimba, but it introduced me to some wonderful people with whom I still keep close contact.
Uneven Souls
Performance of my Selva Negra arrangement. This original arr. for percussion was used as the ending of my senior ‘production’ Uneven Souls at the University of Arkansas. Seen here are Fernando Valencia on congas, Aaron Collins on kit, my self on double-seconds, and Dorothy Valencia on vibes. Also performing and not seen are Daniel Dossey and bass guitar & doumbeck, Patrick O’ Donnell on marimba, and Trevor Bessner on marimba.

Scottish Mayhem
A performance at Scarbrough Fair in 2006 with Scottish Mayhem. Formerly of The Rogues, pipers Jimmy Mitchell & Lars Sloan and bodran/front man Brian Blalock combined with myself and Daniel Dossey for a series of performances in 2006. Mayhem fans, expect new and exiting things to come.
PASIC 2006
A big year. Students Jonathan Leal again took the high school snare crown and Randy Briggs finished runner-up by 0.5 in the college tenor category. I performed with University of Texas Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Thomas Burritt, in a showcase concert as 2006 College Percussion ensemble competition winners. Seen here are a crew of former students of mine from Arkansas who are all percussion majors at the University of Central Arkansas.

Darwin’s Pub hosted Free Music Night in April featuring 7 different groups made up of myself, good friends, and great colleagues. Event sponsors included Darwin’s Pub, Fitch17.com, and Jimmy John’s Subs. See the Flyer and line up HERE.
Here we go...
